Mission, Vision, and Faith Statements

All grounded in Biblical doctrine, we feel the following set of statements, goals, and visions best encapsulate who we are and why HCCA exists.

HCCA's Mission Statement. At HCCA, our primary mission as Christian educators, administrators, and teachers called by God, is to build a school firmly established on Christian values and principles with a commitment to academic excellence that helps children grow into well-educated, self-assured, stable young men and women, who are grounded in joy and abundance, but obedient in their service to others as the scriptures command.

In our quest for excellence we should not desire to receive acclaim from the world, but to honor God whose very name is excellent. Psalm 8:1

HCCA's Vision Statement. As HCCA matures, our mission becomes more clearly defined and our long-term vision takes shape. That shape is multifold. HCCA sees our students growing mentally wise, physically strong, loved among their brothers and sisters in Christ, and in spiritual favor with God. We see our children mentally and emotionally stable, well educated, self-sufficient, and committed to serving others.

Our vision for the school is always to keep Jesus smiling by focusing first on our core values, and then on providing a warm, nurturing, learning environment for every child, so that their learning experiences are "rich with opportunity, creativity and the character of Christ."

Furthermore, HCCA embraces in faith, the belief that every staff member is answering God's calling for his or her life; uniquely and individually called to their office. Our vision for the staff requires that each teacher, administrator, and school leader always pursue all that is noble and excellent in our students, our school family, and ultimately in themselves.

The Bible has much to say about faith and service, and indeed, what we desire are model Christian educators, administrators, and spiritual leaders. They are a major component in your child's educational experience. HCCA is a school that believes all people are created in God's image, and that all of us are called to love one another.

HCCA's Statement of Faith. HCCA's governing Board of Directors, with input from our seven-member Advisory Board and administrative leadership, has adopted the following scriptural tenets that collectively comprise HCCA's Statement of Faith. Download a copy of HCCA's Statement of Faith

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

• HCCA believes the Holy Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God according to 2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:21
• HCCA believes there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit according to Genesis 1:1 and Matthew 28:19
• HCCA believes in the deity of Christ according to John 10:33; His virgin birth in keeping with Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, and Luke 1:35; His sinless life in accordance with Hebrews 4:15 and 7:26; His miracles on the word of John 2:11; His vicarious and atoning death as maintained in I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, and Hebrews 2:9; His resurrection according to John 11:25 and I Corinthians 15:4; His ascension to the right hand of the Father as stated in Mark 16:19; and His personal return in power and glory according to Acts 1:11 and Revelation 19:11
• HCCA believes in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that it is only by God's grace and through faith that are we saved according to John 3:16-21 and 5:24; Romans 3:23 and 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; and Titus 3:5

• HCCA believes in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they are lost to the resurrection of damnation in keeping with John 5:28-29
• HCCA believes in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ consistent with Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, and Galatians 3:26-28
• HCCA believes in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, enables the Christian to live a Godly life consistent with Romans 8:13-14; I Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19-20; and Ephesians 4:30 and 5:18

Statement of Non-discrimination. Hampton Cove Christian Academy makes no distinction concerning an individual's race, gender, or ethnic background because we acknowledge that there can be no preferential treatment with God according to Romans 2:11. We are bound to extend our ministry to all we can reach if we are to carry out our Lord's Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:19-20.

HCCA's Statement of Purpose. HCCA exists because its founders, T.J. and Stacey Lee, in their desire to glorify God in everything they do, had it upon their hearts to faithfully serve children and their families in Huntsville and the surrounding communities with the highest level of academic excellence and spiritual guidance.

HCCA's Goal. HCCA strives to provide academic and spiritual excellence in a healthy, safe, warm, and nurturing, learning environment that is rich with Opportunity, Creativity, and the Character of Christ.

HCCA's Success. HCCA's long-term success is wholly dependent on the school's founders and administrative body, implementing well established, clearly defined, and ordered Christian values, which are effectively communicated to all our families by teachers with a true servant-leadership spirit.
