Teachers and Staff

At HCCA, we believe teachers shape the lives of our children in many important ways. In order for Christian educators to remain alert to the diverse challenges and pressures facing today's youth, it is of vital importance to your child's health, education, and well-being that HCCA be diligent in selecting and screening teachers and caregivers who are in themselves, models of Christian character and servant-leadership.

As a parent, you want to make sure your child receives the best education, cultivates the right values, and receives the attention he/she deserves in order to succeed. HCCA has more than 14 years of experience in early education and childcare work. HCCA hires only those educators and administrators whose level of education and experience meet our "Quality Difference" standard. Their character and ability to communicate clearly and effectively is an inseparable part of a quality educational program.

At Hampton Cove Christian Academy …we are shaping lives that shape the future.

In the same way, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:17

A Teacher's Charge. We call it HCCA's Commission for every teacher and it states, "Let each child, each parent, every person you meet, know that they are a precious child of God, and heir to the throne of grace and glory. So go forth, and let His everlasting joy and light shine through you to others, always."

A Teacher's Secret to Success. Psalm 19:14 says "May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." When a teacher's heart, mind, hands, and habits work together to guide their outward behavior and influence their interactions with those in their charge – i.e. the children of HCCA - "good intention" and "right thinking" bear fruit in the classroom. This is an HCCA teacher's "Secret to Success".

Administrative Staff

Terri Martin, School Principal

In 2007, HCCA’s Founder and Board put in motion a strategic long term plan for growth and expansion of both the preschool and a K-8 campus. Part of that strategic plan was the hiring of the new Pre-School Principal, Ms. Terri Martin in 2008. HCCA’s goal was to find a special person with the right combination of business experience, early childhood education, knowledge, and leadership qualities that would help direct HCCA’s preschool and kindergarten during this crucial period. Ms. Martin has 14 years experience teaching the A Beka curriculum, and over a decade of experience in Human Resources and Business Management. Competent, capable, and skillful, she has assembled an administrative team that is both responsive and exceptionally understanding when it comes to supporting needs and desires of the families and children we serve.

Deborah Benson, Assistant Principal

Deborah Benson came to Hampton Cove Christian Academy with a 25-year business management background in corporate administration. Working closely with the Principal on a daily basis, you will find Deborah throughout the academy ensuring its smooth, overall operation.
