Academic Testing

At Hampton Cove Christian Academy, our focus is on the student. We believe in investing in young lives because they are our future.

With careful attention on the students, and with the Bible as the foundation, HCCA soars to the top of ‘academic excellence’ because we offer a quality alternative to public school instruction. Unlike some schools, HCCA provides academic testing for students from pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, utilizing a norm-referenced test from Harcourt Brace called the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT). Using SAT for more than 30 years, HCCA students consistently rank more than one full year ahead of the national norm. This, combined with HCCA’s advanced curricula, smaller class sizes and more individualized attention, simply guarantees that your child will have the opportunities they need for success in life.

The SAT may include many of the subjects your child is taught in school such as reading, language, math, science, and social science. While this type of test provides informative, but limited interpretations about your child's performance in school, it is an excellent tool for helping parents and teachers better plan lessons based upon your child's current knowledge-level, and encourages progress in those subject areas not yet mastered.
