The Academy Tutoring Program is unique because we not only provide both remedial and advanced studies help with individualized or group tutoring in math, reading, writing, homework assistance, and study skills/habits, but we also tailor classes to meet the needs of our local home schoolers. Taught by qualified, degreed teachers, our Academy Tutoring program increases children's confidence, and encourages the kind of excellence in academia stated in Hampton Cove Christian Academy's core values and mission statement.

Tutoring Options:

• Individual Tutoring Session - Individually tailored to the specific needs of the student, these one-on-one tutoring sessions are designed to strengthen or master a child's skills and understanding in specific areas i.e. math, science, reading, etc.; or who seem to benefit from individualized instruction.
• Semi-Private Tutoring Session:  Grouped according to skill level, these individually tailored, semi-private tutoring sessions are designed to strengthen or master a child's skills and understanding in specific areas i.e. math, science, reading, etc.
• Homework Lab:  Assist student in a small group setting with homework assignment given to them by their primary teacher.  Open Monday - Thursday from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm.  This setting helps students by clarifying their understanding of homework assignments and helping them to develop and utilize more effective study skills, habits and time management techniques for completing assignments.  This does not include tutoring or remediation of the content area.
• Group  or Home-School  Classes: Individually tailored to the specific needs of the student, these on-site classes for remediation, instruction, or  enrichment, are provided on a group-contract basis, or through individual enrollment.
