The Secret to Our Success. Parents! That's right – Our goal is 100% parental involvement and classroom participation in all areas of school life, and the key to HCCA's ability to accomplish our mission of providing spiritual and academic excellence. Furthermore, parental involvement in our Parent/Teacher Organization helps us keep tuition as low as possible through the PTO's voluntary contributions to events, and organized fundraisers.

Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Proverbs 1:8

The Power of a Daily Hello. Absolutely essential to the positive mental and emotional development of your child, daily communication with your child's teacher or administrator, maximizes early learning experiences. They are simple formalities, but those brief, positive daily interactions we have with each parent and child at the door during pick-up and drop-off times, reinforces a friendly and open line of communication that promotes healthy relationships and positive self image.

Parent Teacher Partnership. Hampton Cove Christian Academy believes the successful mental, physical, and spiritual development of your child involves teamwork, communication, and a commitment on the part of parents, as well as teachers. By partnering with HCCA in the care and education of your child, together we create the perfect balance between educational opportunity, creativity, and fun. We listen to your child, and respond with instruction and encouragement as often as possible.

Parent Teacher Meetings. It's true! HCCA places a great deal of emphasis on attendance at scheduled Parent Teacher Meetings (PTMs) throughout the year. We not only want to keep you apprised of your child's progress in the classroom so there are no surprises, but also to inform you of any changes in programs, curriculum, or activities. Of course, we value our one-on-one time with the parents as well. Scheduling an appointment with your child's teacher allows for more uninterrupted time to address your concerns or talk about your child's progress or assignments, in a more private, individualized manner.

Call Us on the Telephone. HCCA's Number 1 goal is to be responsive! Feel free to call HCCA (256-539-3773) to discuss any concern, no matter how small.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

Open Door Policy. HCCA encourages parents to take advantage of our "Open Door Policy". Visit us any time during school hours, but don't forget to check in first with the office when you arrive since security remains a top priority. You are welcome to observe your child in their classroom environment on our closed-circuit TV cameras. You are also welcomed to engage in conversation or scheduled conferences with teachers and the school principal whenever needed. We prefer you make prior arrangements with the front office, in order to ensure proper planning, but you are also welcomed to join us for lunch and invite grandparents.

Parent Orientation Night. Before beginning the school year, HCCA administrative staff and teachers host a Parent Orientation Night.  Held in your child's classroom, your child's teacher will communicate key information to you about school policies and procedures, academic curricula, school calendars and events, and other important information vital to ensuring that your child's educational opportunities and experiences are both positive and productive.  One parent is required to attend this important, mandatory meeting.  For those that do not attend this scheduled meeting there will be a late orientation penalty assessed to your account and you will be required to make up the meeting with your child's teacher.

Parent Handbook [download]  The Parent Handbook is 4 MB and you will need Adobe Reader installed on your computer.  This is setup so that when you print it out, it will print like a book.
