Miss Whitaker lost a challenge to HCCA students in a Christmas Change Drive. Together HCCA raised nearly $500 but the students raised more money than the teachers by nearly $100! A portion of the proceeds go towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of HCCA's own Joshua Quist who is undergoing cancer treatment; while the rest goes towards United Way. Yea HCCA Kids - GREAT job, and now Miss Whitaker has to kiss a donkey!

November 16, 2011 HUNTSVILLE, AL—Unsuspecting educator receives Milken Educator Award - Today in Madison, the Milken Family Foundation presented the National Educator Award to Bob Jones High School Teacher Jeremy Raper. The announcement came during the 25th annual coast-to-coast tour to reward top educators with more than $1.3 million in cash awards. November 16, 2011 HUNTSVILLE, AL—Madison County BOE seeks input for new superintendent - The Madison County Board of Education is conducting a search for a new superintendent that will complete the term of Dr. Terry Davis who will retire effective December 1st. Under Alabama Law, the Board is responsible for appointing someone to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the current term, which ends on December 31st 2014. More . . .
