There is always something fun and creative going on at HCCA!

HCCA is holding its very first Young at Art Open House Apr. 16 - 20 with Preview Days for the parents Apr. 18-19 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., and open to the community April 19 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Amazing HCCA student artwork is on display throughout the school including preschool reproductions of Vincent van Gogh’s famous Starry Night and pictures drawn from underneath a table to replicate Michelangelo’s ceiling masterpiece in the Sistine Chapel.

Displayed gallery-style throughout the school, HCCA served cookies and lemonade while giving tours of the school with its artwork in full view. Among the displays are a school-wide effort in creating a spherical cloth tapestry, painted egg trees, and sectional tiles of acrylic paint-on-canvas transform hallways into colorful galleries with startling effects. HCCA children’s creative freedom and opportunities of expression were shown in the form of still life drawings, stitchery; watercolors; cloth tapestries; newspapers hats; totems; and much more.
