Introduction
At Hampton Cove Christian Academy, we recognize that the careful, deliberate selection and screening of our teachers and caregivers is of vital importance to your child's health, education and well being. We also understand that the concept of Christian character and Servant-Leadership in our staff, as well as their level of education and experience, are valuable and inseparable parts of a quality Christian educational program.
Our Staff
It is with these principles in mind, and because the Bible states that a student, when "fully trained," will "be like his teacher" (Luke 6:40), that HCCA insists that all of our teachers and caregivers be models of Christian character themselves and be continually alert to the diverse challenges and pressures facing the youth of America.
"And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary." Galatians 6:9
A Teacher's Charge
HCCA's charge or commission for every teacher is to... "let each child, each parent, every person you meet know that they are a precious child of God, and heir to the throne of grace and glory"...so go forth, and let His everlasting joy and light shine through you to others, always.
"In the same way, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father which is in heaven" Matthew 5:17
Teacher's Constitution
We, the Founders, Directors, and Teachers of Hampton Cove Christian Academy, in order to form a more perfect school, establish fair and just rules, ensure peace, promote the general good of each staff member and secure the blessings of our liberty to teach in a wholesome, Christian-based learning environment, do hereby establish this Constitution for governing ourselves through the school year.
I Will Faithfully:
"Lay Christ in the bottom as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning." (New England's First Fruits, Harvard College 1641)
Hold in mutual respect the expressions of others and refrain from gossip for the greater purpose of the gospel and will not promote my church doctrine but communicate by Biblical Principles. (Colossians 4:6)
Govern myself and interact with others by "walking in the Spirit." (Galatians 5:22-25)
Remain open and teachable, and be willing to form new manners and habits of teaching and learning. (Ezra 7:10)
Steward my time wisely and adhere to the posted schedules by being prompt to work and to all other sessions or meetings. (Psalms 90:12)
Attend all meetings and training sessions and complete all assignments in order to receive the greatest personal benefit for the greater good of the children who we serve daily. (2 Timothy 4:7)
Pray daily for fresh vision and new ways that I might share the knowledge and love of Christ using the tools of my noble profession. (Matthew 28:19)
I agree to use this Constitution to guide my internal spirit and external behavior for the Glory of God
