Music

Music Appreciation Classes

Beginning with our Toddler classes and continuing through our Elementary grades, Music Appreciation is taught as a regular part of our daily curriculum.  Each week, our music teacher introduces our students to a variety of music themes, instruments and experiences.

Private Music Lessons

In addition to HCCA's Music Appreciation classes, HCCA offers a variety of extra-curricular music lessons right here at our school (Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm).

From piano, to strings and violin, from vocal to instrumental, HCCA is proud to work with local, private music instructors to offer this service.  Inquire at the office for any of our summer or school year music lesson schedules, private and semi-private.

Creative Movement and Gymnastics

HEAD OVER HEELS is an extra-curricular, non-competitive gymnastics program designed to help children learn skills in gymnastics and motor skills by teaching flexibility, balance, and overall body coordination.

Our ratio is one instructor per 8 children.  Our focus is to make sure that your child gets the one on one help and attention they need. Gymnastics is a special time for your child and we strive to build their confidence.

No uniform is required; however HEAD OVER HEELS clothing may be purchased.

Physical Education Classes

In addition to giving our children two scheduled playground times each day, HCCA offers Physical Education classes for our Pre-K4 and Elementary students. These classes teach children to be physically fit through organized activities.

Computer Classes

HCCA also employs a Computer Teacher to instruct our Pre-K4 and Elementary students. In small groups, these students are taught basic computer skills.  In the Pre-K4 classes, they will learn how to turn on/off the computer, start a program and operate the mouse and keyboard. As they advance in grades, students become able to type a poem or report and use search engines to research a topic.
